Hayman Everglades RSC Gun Safes Video

Hi, Dye the Safe Guy, Dye Hawley manager of Safe & Vault Store here to talk today about the Hayman Safe Company Everglades gun safe line. This is their economical gun safe line, but even though it's priced very competitively, it has features of a higher-priced safe.

The Everglades has safes all the way from 6 cubic feet on up to 33 cubic feet. There are 5 safes in this line. It has a nice attractive black coating of paint - 5 layers. It also comes with your choice of either the digital lock by Securam which is a UL certified Type 1 lock. It lights up so you can see what you are doing in the dark. Or if you prefer to have the Sargent & Greenleaf dial combination Group II UL lock, you can have that too. Your choice, no extra cost. Let's take a look at the inside here. The Everglades has 1-1/2" of bolts. Many of the safes this size are only 1". It also has a 1-hour fire rating and it has a UL RSC burglar rating which is very unusual for a safe in this price point.

The interior has a built in door organizer. Also, all the shelves are fully adjustable up and down. You can put up to 8 guns on the left side and up to 8 guns on the right side. These again are 22 caliber long guns, so no matter what gun safe you are considering, all the gun safe manufactures go with a 22 caliber with no scope.

So if you have a lot of scoped weapons or if you have assault rifles, they're going to take up the room of two. So whether you are going with a smaller safe like this one or the larger one that is 33 cubic feet, for those of you that have large collections, just remember that when anybody says long guns, 30, 40, 50 it's really just 22 longs without a scope.

One of the reasons this safe is such a great value is that it has 11 gauge steel on the outside. Hayman bends and folds the steel instead of welding it, making it that much more difficult to break into and stronger. Of course like all gun safes, you have the factory anchor holes down there so you can anchor the safe into wood or concrete floor.

We at Safe & Vault Store always recommend that you anchor the safe, even the big ones. Because the bad guys sometimes they can still take them out of your house, even if they weigh over 1000 pounds.

Finally, I would like to say that Hayman Safe has been in business for almost 50 years. It's a family-owned business. It's one of the premier safe manufactures in the United States. Thanks again for listening. This is Dye Hawley with Safe & Vault Store. Give us a call at 800-207-2259 or go to our website. We would be happy to answer your questions.
