Meet the Team
Jay Hunt
Owner & President
Jay founded Safe and Vault Store in 2007 to bring his family's safe expertise online, building on a Spokane safe and lock business that traces back to 1948. In 2018 he sold the commercial security side of the business to focus entirely on safes, and has grown Safe and Vault Store into one of the largest safe retailers in the country.
Dominic Schwebs
Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Manager
Dominic has managed the Safe and Vault Store website since 2008 and has been part of the team since 2002. He brings deep expertise in home safety and security, residential and commercial safe products, firearms storage, business cash management, and emerging safe technology. He is also a regular podcast guest, blogger, and webinar contributor.
Jeff S.
Sales Specialist
Jeff joined the team in September 2021 and brings a deep background in customer-facing roles, including 10 years in the appliance industry and 10 years as a mortgage broker. A Southern California native, he enjoys fishing, golfing, boating, and hiking in his time away from the showroom.
Simon Taylor
E-Commerce Sales and Marketing Specialist Content Creator
Simon joined in February 2022 with 8+ years of customer experience and a background in firearm sales and pawn shop management. He specializes in custom safe and vault door design, firearms storage, business cash management, and smart home security, and contributes to the blog and YouTube channel demonstrating safes in person.

Customer Service Representative
Danielle joined the team in April 2022 with more than 15 years of customer service experience. She is often the friendly voice on the other end of the phone helping customers track orders, schedule deliveries, and answer questions. Outside of work she enjoys the outdoors, including BBQ, hunting, fishing, and camping.

Purchasing & Customer Support
Kelly has been with the team since 2017, working her way from customer service into purchasing. She keeps inventory moving and helps customers when service questions come her way. Outside of work she enjoys paddle boarding, hiking with her dogs, live music, and country swing dancing.
Amber B.
Sales Specialist
Amber joined Safe and Vault Store in July 2022 and brings 20+ years of customer service and sales experience from the automotive parts and produce industries. She works mainly with first-time buyers, from home safes to retail and food service safes to DEA-compliant safes, and is often the voice on the other end of the phone, in-store, or on chat. Outside of work she spends weekends at the racetrack with her kids, gardens, cooks new dishes for friends, and runs a makeup business on the side.
Juan Pablo G.
Sales Specialist & Warehouse
Juan Pablo joined Safe and Vault Store in December 2025 with 4 years of customer service as a FedEx Ground delivery driver and 3 years in warehouse shipping and receiving in Southern California. Fluent in English and Spanish, he handles lock questions, high-security safes, vault doors, and shipping questions as both a sales specialist and warehouse lead. Every safe that leaves his warehouse goes out on a custom pallet, strap-secured with hard-edge protectors, so it arrives the way it left. On the sales side, he works with business owners, first-time buyers, and Spanish-speaking customers, often guiding jewelry businesses through high-security selections. Outside of work he plays soccer, volleyball, and tennis, and enjoys live music and the gym.
