Just like you see in the movies and on TV, opening your safe with your fingerprint is possible and just as quick. With the Securam ScanLogic Basic Biometric Digital Lock installed on your safe, swipe your fingerprint for 1-second fingerprint access. It will even read your fingerprint in any position and automatically unlocks.

You can enroll up to 15 fingerprints in the Securam ScanLogic Basic Biometric Digital Lock. This could be used to allow trusted friends/family access in case something happens, or you can program multiple fingers on your hand to have more options for unlocking. If you don't want to use your fingerprint, you can always use your 6-digit code to open. This gives you multiple options for opening your safe. 

Changing the battery is easy on the Securam ScanLogic Basic Biometric Digital Lock. The SureLock Battery Management System allows you to change the battery without removing the keypad. Just release the lever, and pull it down on the battery compartment to replace the battery. Make sure to use a new 9V Duracell battery.  We recommend changing your safe batteries when you change the batteries in your smoke detectors each year. 

For installation of the Securam ScanLogic Basic Biometric Digital Lock, we recommend reaching out to a local locksmith. This model is for a swingbolt lock. If you have a deadbolt, springbolt, or strikebolt, we can order that version. We need to know at the time of order.

    Please read all information on the type of delivery options you have for your order. The delivery of large safes is a very sensitive operation, and we supply this information to ensure you receive the product you ordered in the best condition possible for your delivery circumstance.

    Small Package Delivery (150 lbs. and Under)

    Small package delivery is a free service offered by SafeandVaultStore.com. All packages less than 150 pounds are delivered to your home or business front door via UPS or FedEx during normal business hours. There is no advance appointment call made. No signature is required.

    Changing Your Address

    If you need to change your address after your order has shipped, additional fees may apply. Please note that changing the address with FedEx is not guaranteed. You can create a FedEx Delivery Manager account, which allows you to change the shipping method to a FedEx Hold Location (ex: local Walgreens).

    Curbside Delivery (Over 150 lbs.)

    Curbside delivery is a free service offered by SafeandVaultStore.com. Any shipments 151 pounds or larger are delivered via freight companies such as YRC, XPO, USF Reddaway, or other common freight carriers and delivered curbside. The safes and vault doors are delivered on a wood pallet, curbside, where your driveway meets the street. The freight company will call to schedule an appointment within an 8-hour window.     • Freight companies will not deliver to a "dead end" street or Cul De Sac. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.
    • Remote areas require additional fees from the freight company. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.
    • “Limited access” locations will require additional fees from the Freight Company. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.
    • Some zip codes, including ferry points, are considered beyond service points from the servicing center and may result in additional charges. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.

    What Happens When You Place Your Order (Products over 150 lbs.)

    1. Depending on the indicated lead time on your order, you will receive an email notifying you that your item has shipped with your tracking number.
    2. After your item has shipped and it arrives at your local terminal, you will receive a telephone call from the freight company to schedule the delivery date. 
    3. The freight company will schedule a delivery appointment with you for the day of delivery only.
    4. Freight companies will deliver between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday only.  Because Mondays are heavy commercial delivery days, some terminals will avoid scheduling residential deliveries on Mondays. If you require a shorter time window, please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic delivery options (2-hour window available).
    5. You must be present or have someone there to inspect and sign for the product. There are no exceptions to this requirement.
    6. If there is even the slightest damage on the packaging, note the damage on the receipt you receive and sign from the delivery staff. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is the only way we can file a damage claim for a refund from the freight company and/or a replacement if your safe or vault door is damaged.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: The delivery staff will not take your safe or vault door any further than curbside if this is the service you order. Freight companies will not deliver to your driveway on a Dead End road or Cul de Sac. They will only deliver to County, City, or State roads. They will not deliver to a congested downtown area with no parking or a Doorman Condo or Apartment. Garage/Threshold Delivery or White Glove Inside Delivery are available for an extra charge if you need special delivery services. Please call 800-207-2259 for other delivery options if any of these cases apply to you.

    Garage Delivery Requirements:

    Please read these requirements before placing your order:

    • Access to an ‘overhead’ garage door is required and must be over pavement or concrete, no more than a 2% grade.
    • Excessively steep or long driveways are not included in this service, see Inside Delivery delivery options if this is your case.
    • Drivers will not back the truck onto your driveway.
    • The driver may require help to push the product into your garage.
    • The driver will not remove the safe from the pallet.

    Garage delivery is not guaranteed. It is not always available in all areas and is ultimately at the discretion of the driver to complete. If the driver feels it is unsafe, the freight company will not be able to complete the garage delivery and will leave the safe at your curbside. We would refund you in full for the garage delivery if it is not able to be completed.     Safes Over 2000 lbs.

    Our trucks with liftgates will only handle safes up to 2000 pounds. Safes over 2000 pounds will require a forklift or loading dock on site to receive the safe. If you do not have either of these items, we can recommend a company in your local area that can deliver your safe inside.
